Q. Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?
The worst book that I recall reading and finishing was Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. I remember having to read it for summer reading one year in high school. The book is only about 100 pages, but it must have taken me at least a month to get through. The only reason I finished it was because I had to write a book report during the days before SparkNotes had gotten popular. Plus, I was too honest of a person to take that kind of shortcut. Thinking about it now, I cannot really recall what it was about, but I know it was very boring. It might be interesting to go back and read it now that I am older...maybe...
Hi there, just found your blog and I am now a follower :) Haha, I like your blog description-- YA and cupcakes, what an awesome combination :D
ReplyDeleteI think I vaguely recall having to read Ethan Frome, but I don't remember anything about it-- couldn't have been that great! Gotta love the SparkNotes lol

Your blog is adorable. I'm a new follower! :D
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Edith Wharton yet, but I plan to. Maybe I just won't start with Ethan Frome, heh.
I really enjoyed The Age of Innocence, but I read that during my senior year of college. Maybe it just takes a better appreciation for literature to like Edith Wharton's writing?
ReplyDeleteThanks for following everyone! I really appreciate it!
Never read this one, and probably never will now! I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend really hated this book, so I haven't read it yet.
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
