In My Mailbox (IMM) is a weekly meme created by Kristi over at The Story Siren. IMM is a chance for a blogger to show which books/e-books have been recently acquired either as ARCs, purchased, or borrowed. Click here to find out more.
Yes, John Green is in my mail. I decided what better way to kick off my blog than to have a John Green week! I feel ashamed to admit that I have yet to read any John Green book despite many recommendations. As a fan of the Vlog Brothers, it is a necessity that I read these books! I thoroughly enjoy John Green’s (and Hank’s) humor and sarcasm. So this week begins my travel into the world of John Green. I will begin by reading Looking for Alaska (own), as it was the first to be published. Then, I will continue with An Abundance of Katherines (own), followed by Paper Towns (borrowed from library), and finally I will end with Will Grayson, Will Grayson (own). I am super excited!
What is in your mailbox this week?
P.S. I have succeeded in saying “John Green” seven times in this post.
Books Mentioned:
Will Grayson, Will Grayson (written with David Levithan)
Interesting selection!
ReplyDeleteHey, welcome to blogging! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI read An Abundance of Katherines and it was quite alright. I heard that Looking for Alaska is the best one, so I have that and Paper Towns on my reading list, too

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE John Green! I'm so following you! :) Hopefully, you will love him too! I'm actually reading Paper Towns right now! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd if you like Will Grayson, Will Grayson I would read Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. It is amazingly funny! :) I love it! I did a review of it, if you wanna check it out. :)
Since I'm your newest follower, maybe you could stop by my blog and follow me back? I would really appreciate it!
Thank you!

Hey Lindsey, thanks for commenting on my IMM! And welcome to the blogging world! Also, I am so excited that you're reading John Green this week. I love him. I even have a John Green bobble head, haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to spoil anything for you (spoilers are pretty much my biggest pet peeve ever), but there is a paragraph from Looking for Alaska that I'm absolutely in love with. When you read a paragraph that ends in a comment about drizzles and hurricanes, that's the one. :) His writing is so beautiful.
I hope you enjoy! Take care.
John Green is so awesome! I love love love his writing. I've only read Looking For Alaska and Will Grayson Will Grayson so far, but both books are definitely on the favorites shelf.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any John Green books either. Love it how you said his name seven times in one post ;) Enjoy reading!
